- The Bryncelyn
Brewery is a small 1-barrel brewery which
was established in 1999. The brewery itself
is located at the Wern Fawr Inn, Ystalyfera
in the Swansea valley of South Wales.

 The
brewery is owned by Will Hopton. Brewing was started by Will and pub
regular Robert Scott, who hails from the
Isle of Man but now lives in Ystalyfera. The
first brew produced by Bryncelyn was
"Buddy's Delight" and this has now grown to
twelve different beers, three of which are
brewed regularly and can be sampled at the
Wern Fawr Inn. The
pub is run by Tristan and Tracy Davies, who took over from Tracys
parents Will and Sandra Hopton in November 2006, who retired after 29
years in the Wern Fawr.

The other
nine beers are occasional or seasonal brews.
The beer produced by Bryncelyn has also won
many awards at CAMRA recognized beer
festivals.

 All of
Bryncelyns beers are based on a Buddy Holly
theme due to Will being a huge fan, so much
so that even the Brewerys name is linked as
Bryncelyn is welsh for Holly Hill.
- Most
of the beer produced at the brewery is served through the pub, we
currently have three beers on regular which are Oh Boy, Buddy
Marvellous and Holly Hop but a growing demand for our award
winning beers now means that they are now available in 35 pint
and 17.5 pint polypins, ideal for that party at home(see our product
page for purchase details).
